What We Believe

Scripture On Praying Church Website Banner

About God

God is the one true God and has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,11; Matthew 28:19; and Luke 3:22.

About Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and is co-equal with the Father. He lived a sinless life, died a sinner’s death on our behalf and rose again from the grave three days later. He ascended into heaven and will one day return for his bride, the Church.
Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Matthew 28:6;1 Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1:9; Philippians 2:9-11.

About The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ.  He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.
2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; Ephesians 5:18; John 14:17.

About The Bible

The Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. We believe God’s word never changes but rather we ought to change in order to agree with the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21.

About People

Man was created good and upright; for God said, “Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness.” However, man, by voluntary transgression, fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. We believe Jesus Christ is the only answer to man’s need.
Genesis 1:26,27; Genesis 2:17; Genesis 3:6; Romans 5:12-19.

About Eternity

There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Heaven and hell are real places, and the Bible is clear we will spend eternity in one of those two places when we die. We believe Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven.
John 3:16; Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48;Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:11-15.
