REOPENING PROTOCOLS

WAYS TO ATTEND
These are no doubt unique times we are living in. This means how we do church life will be unique. You can attend one of our in-person services or online. To attend an online service go to our YouTube channel or our digital campus at HSC.ONLINE.CHURCH. The online campus gives you the best digital experience possible.

REGISTRATION
Anyone who plans to attend an in-person service must pre-register using our online registration. We are adhering to the Connecticut state guidelines by limiting in-person gatherings to current percentage restrictions. If registration is closed, this means we have reached the limit.

ARRIVAL

When you arrive, enter through the main entrance and not the basement (kids) entry.

FACE COVERINGS

Wear a face mask or face covering as directed by CT state government. Masks will be worn at all times except during the sermon portion of the service when family units are seated 6 feet apart and not singing or talking. If you forget your mask, we will have some available onsite. If you are unable to wear a mask for whatever reason, we encourage you to participate in our online campus.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING & INTERACTIONS

Maintain a 6ft distance from others and sit according to seating restrictions. We are discouraging all hugging, handshaking, high-fiving, and fist-bumping during services.

HYGIENE

The most effective and easiest way to promote health and well-being is simple regular hygiene. Please wash your hands and use hand sanitizer regularly. We have installed new faucets in the bathrooms and have hand sanitizer on site to make this easier to do.

KIDS

There will be no child care during this phase of our reopening.

DOORS

Doors will be sanitized regularly during service

COMMUNION

We will be using individually pre-sealed/packaged communion emblems to ensure we continue to take communion and avoid spreading germs.

GENEROSITY

Giving is one of our expressions of worship and honor to the Lord. To handle this safely, we will not be passing our giving baskets during service. Instead, baskets will be placed at the entrance of the sanctuary. We ask that you drop your giving off during the service. Otherwise, we strongly encourage you to use online giving. We have a highly secure giving platform you can use.

RESPONDING TO GOD

We believe in responding to God and typically encourage you to respond to the Lord by coming to the altar to receive prayer. However, during this time, we will be responding to the Lord from our seats.

THE PASTORS AND STAFF

During our regular service gatherings, our pastors and staff will be wearing face coverings whenever they are not on the platform.

VOLUNTEERS
During our regular service gatherings, all volunteers actively serving during service must wear  masks/face coverings.

BUILDING SANITATION

We are grateful for our cleaning team. Every week the church will be sanitized on a regular schedule.

THE VULNERABLE

People who are more vulnerable to COVID-19 due to age or other health risk factors are strongly encouraged to stay home and participate in our online services. If you are unsure if it is safe for you to attend, please talk with your doctor.

LEADING SELF

Our posture towards COVID-19 as a church is not “how do we protect ourselves and not get sick” rather, it is “how do we protect our community and those we love?” We ask that you take it seriously to lead yourself and your family in this area.

HOW TO LEAD YOURSELF
